Corvette C8.R: Dream to Reality 2020 Season Preview | Chevrolet

Zora Arkus-Duntov, the legendary engineer and father of the Corvette, was driven by a vision to create cars for those who dreamed of unbridled freedom, performance and the sheer joy of driving. He believed one day Corvette would have an ultra-high performance, mid-engine configuration, equal or better than any supercar in the world, yet attainable to anyone.

Corvette’s checkered-flag history over the past 20 years is filled with triumphs and engineering prowess. Corvette Racing has clinched 12 Driver Championships and 13 overall Manufacturer Titles in the WeatherTech Championship’s GTLM category. On top of this, Corvette Racing has won the fabled 24- Hours of Le Mans eight times since 1999.

New for the 2020 season, Zora’s dream becomes reality. Introducing the Corvette C8.R. This mid-engine masterpiece combines Zora’s vision with 20 years of Corvette Racing dominance. The 2020 Corvette C8.R is ready to take on the world’s most elite race cars, and will make its debut at Rolex 24 at Daytona.
