  2. Smart Gigi

How does it compare with the vw golf, ford focus, peugeot 308, skoda scala, mazda 3 and seat leon ?

  3. karl peart

Sounds like a tractor and looks boring

  4. Noizy Tribe

I still prefer my old version of Astra K with 4-cylinder engine. I can't imagine me driving without one cylinder. It is like someone stole a piece of heart of engine and car. Moreover CVT gearbox is like driving in playstation games. No fun at all. Manual od automatic gearbox with torque converter is my choice.

  5. jnn nkc

Nice color, but only 3 cilynder engines?

  6. ShroomWalrus

Of course, not groundbreaking but I can't wait for the PSA Astra in a few years.

  7. madant1977

So, the last German Astra visually… Oh, and the worst transmission – CVT.

  8. Fredrik Lund

As a insignia ct 2018 owner id say this astra is a really good car for the money. I wish the 1.6t was avalible. I havent driven the new focus so I cant say which one is the best but its probably the two best cars in this segment in my opinion. I love this channel in soo many ways 😃👍 now ill go for a drive in my 2.0T CT 😜

  9. Tom Coster

Gear changing lever in the center console – that's when I stopped watching it.

  10. sic22l

Are you sure that the 1.2 was developed by Opel? Because it looks like it comes from PSA.

  11. Steve Rose

    Nice review very informative!

  12. jcvicelli

really good points in the review, this is becoming my favorite channel for reviews!

    Tiesto – "Urban Train" PogChamp

  14. Casual Techy

I am still thinking the corsa-e should have been an astra-e

  15. Daniel

    I think it is a 9 speed

  16. Tim Hamm

I have the 1.6 Petrol turbo version here in Australia, great car. Holden badged. Need a 2.0 petrol turbo

  17. Mesut Taşdemir

I really love new generation CVT's with turbo engines like Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, so effortlessi so smooth and quite in any situations.

  18. PSCavalier 95

I used have a Vxl Astra 2.0CDTI SRI Sports Tourer 2013 til 2016. It reminded me of my Peugeot 405s&406s.

  19. Karlo Marković

On the old astra diesel you can get to 400k km without a problem but these engines will blow up at 200k km

  20. David Longden

Really good sensibly priced car with a refreshing absence of option, option, option !
Opel / Vauxhall have a real image problem, PSA should bring that, right now I haven’t a clue what the brand stands for…

  21. icsx

Why on earth they dumbed down some of teh features, like the glove compartment. MY19 had it slowed down.

  22. WhateverNevermind

Such a shame that there’s no OPC version

  23. ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΗΣ Τ.

I'm kinda confused about the engines and the gearboxes. All the automatic gearboxes are CVTs or just for the 1.4 engine is the CVT? And how's that 7 gears on a CVT gearbox?

    Thanks! 🙂

Even the old infotainment has the option to go from AA/Carplay to the car infotainment by pressing the home button.

Also if you want to go back, just long press the home button and it jumps to AA/Carplay

  25. Andrew K. NI

Great review and super informative as always Thomas. A possible contender to drag me out of my SUV! Astra has very classy styling inside and out, and low noise levels would be a nice change.
